Dear Parents,
We are now over the half way point of the term and it is flying by. We have had so many exciting activities, events and celebrations already and this continues. Please check the calendar included as part of this newsletter to ensure you are aware of all that is happening.
First Eucharist
On Sunday 31st August at 2:30pm our Year 3/4 students will celebrate their First Eucharist. This is a very special step in their faith journey and we know they are all very excited. Please keep them and their families in your prayers and thoughts in the coming days.

St Bernard's Circus Performance
Our Circus performance is getting closer and all our students are continuing to practise their skills. Information was set home earlier this week outlining the performance time, ticket allocation, purchase and costumes. All students are expected to attend and a written note is required for any student unable to do so, by this Friday, as the stage placements will be affected. The permission note for students to attend the rehearsal at the Coburg Town Hall during the day on Thursday 18th September, will be sent home next week.
MACSSIS Survey
From September 1st, staff, students from Year 4-6 and randomly selected families from the community, will be asked to participate in Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools listen to the thoughts and feelings that students, families and staff have about how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.
Please see further information in the attached information below.
Assembly
Assembly is on this Friday at 3:00pm in the Hall. The Year 3/4s will be hosting this week.
