Ski Camp 2025
Our Grade 5/6 students hit the slopes of Mount Buller at last week’s Ski Camp! Each day was packed with action as students took part in ski lessons tailored to their level — from the Magic Carpet and Beginner runs right through to the challenge of the Intermediate and Advanced slopes.
Afternoons brought the thrill of free skiing, where students put their new skills to the test. Evenings were just as fun, with trivia games, plenty of laughs, and watching the footy together. Mealtimes were a highlight too, with burgers, lasagna, and the ever-popular buffet breakfast all receiving rave reviews.
Students returned home tired but brimming with stories, and unforgettable memories of their skiing experience.
Bookweek Gallery Walk
On Monday, our school transformed into a world of stories for Literacy Open Morning. The day began with a short information session for parents in the hall, followed by our Book Week Gallery Walk, where parents and students wandered past classroom doors bursting with colour, creativity, and character.
Each class brought a favourite tale to life, turning their doors into storybook gateways inspired by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Little Red Hen, Dog Man, Pig the Pug, The Faraway Tree, and many more.
A big thank you to all the families who joined us — your presence made the morning even more special for our students.
Foundation CERES Excursion
Last Thursday, our Foundation students enjoyed a wonderful excursion to the CERES Environmental Park. The weather was perfect, with blue skies and sunshine setting the scene for a day of exploration and learning. Students engaged in activities that introduced them to Indigenous art, traditional foods, and Dreamtime stories.
Grade 2 Sleepover
Our Grade 2 students enjoyed their very first overnight camp experience last Thursday - a sleepover at school! With overnight bags and sleeping bags in tow, students arrived back at school at 5:30 pm, ready for an evening of fun. They shared pizza for dinner, watched Paddington Bear, and then settled into the Prep classrooms for the night. The next morning, students started the day with cereal and fruit before heading out to take part in a fun-filled Mini Olympics. The sleepover concluded at midday, with everyone enjoying a Subway lunch before heading home — tired but happy campers!
Grade 2 Mini Olympics
Our Year 2 students as part of their sleepover camp experience enjoyed an action-packed Mini Olympics incursion with the energetic team from Mini Boss. The day was filled with fun challenges, teamwork, and plenty of cheering as students took part in a variety of mini sporting events. From relay races to obstacle courses, everyone had the chance to shine, practise new skills, and celebrate each other’s efforts. It was a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, encourage active participation, and most importantly, have a great time together!
Bookweek Parade
Our school came alive this morning with colour, costumes, and boppy music as we celebrated Book Week! Students — and parents — went all out to bring favourite characters to life, creating a vibrant and fun atmosphere. As our happy snaps reveal, it was a wonderful celebration enjoyed by all!
Books Galore!
As part of Book Week, our Grade 6 students held a Book Sale to raise funds for our school library. A big thank you to all the students who supported the event by purchasing books, and to the parents who generously donated items to make the sale possible.
A special thanks goes to Matt and Karen Reynolds for setting up and running the stall, with wonderful help from our Grade 6 cohort. Your efforts made the event a great success!
Principal of the Day
Stacy in 5B had the very important job today of being Principal for the Day. Her tasks included congratulating and presenting our Book Week Dress Up winners with a book, attending the Junior School Council meeting, visiting classrooms, and awarding tokens to students who demonstrated our school values. Stacy also announced our cake lotto winners, Alec 4A and Chingunn 3A.
Thank you, Stacy, for doing such a fantastic job!
