Chinese Calligraphy Club

BEPS Chinese Calligraphy Club is a creative and cultural activity that invites all students from Year 1 to Year 6 to explore the art of Chinese painting and writing.
What is the Chinese Calligraphy Club?
Held every Tuesday during lunch breaks, the Calligraphy Club offers students a chance to learn and practice the beautiful art of Chinese calligraphy. Using traditional brushes and ink, students will experiment with painting and writing, gaining skills in brush control, stroke technique and artistic expression.
This Term’s Theme: "I am an Archaeologist"
Our theme for this term is "I am an Archaeologist." Students will have the opportunity to create artwork inspired by archaeological discoveries, ancient artifacts and the stories behind them. This theme encourages creativity, curiosity and an appreciation for history and culture.
Open to All Students
The Chinese Calligraphy Club is a free, inclusive activity open to all students from Year 1 to Year 6. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to explore and have fun with art and culture.
Benefits of the Club
Participating in calligraphy helps develop fine motor skills, patience, and concentration. It also provides a meaningful way to connect with Chinese cultural heritage, fostering respect and understanding for diverse traditions.
Join Us!
We encourage all students to join the fun, whether they are beginners or more experienced artists. Supplies are provided, and me and Languages captains will guide students through the artistic process.
Thank you for supporting your child's engagement in this enriching cultural activity. We look forward to seeing our students' creative archaeological-inspired artworks!
Warm regards,
April White
