Book Week!

Bonjour tout le monde,

Today, St Bede's celebrated our Book Week for 2025! The day included a range of engaging and literature based activities.

Book Fair

Over the last week, our library has been chocka-block with children, parents and our community visiting the Scholastic Book Fair! It was so great to see our students so engaged with new releases and exciting texts that peaked their interests. It gives me so much joy to announce our total spendings over the week were over $3000! This means St Bede's as a school will receive generous vouchers to continue adding to our school and class libraries. Thank you all for supporting your children's reading for pleasure.

Book Parade

This morning the sun was shining as we held our annual Book Parade on the school oval - an amazing opportunity for all students to show their creations and costumes! Congratulations to all our amazing costume winners (who were voted on within each class) who received a yummy treat for their creative commitments to their costumes!

Literacy Showcase

Following our parade, parents and carers were invited into classrooms to explore what Literacy has looked like over the past term. This included an exploration into work books and even taking part in Daily Reviews with the children! Thanks to those parents and carers who attended - we know the children love to share their knowledge with you.

Book Week Activities

For the rest of the day, all classes engaged in a variety of Book Week acitivites, including DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) library sessions and a very special of The Masked Reader (check the video out on our Instagram) Can you guess which teacher is behind the mask?

There goes another phenomenal Book Week at St Bede's. Thank you to everyone at home for their engagement and continued support in your child's reading journey. For further information, please check out: https://cbca.org.au/childrens-book-week/
