Media

The purpose of this short course is to provide students with transferable multimedia skills and introduce them to image editing and the video production process. Students learn the basics of image editing, camera shots and angles, creating artworks and video planning and production.
Adobe Photoshop is used to edit images for both school projects and personal use. After video planning tools are examined, students use digital cameras to shoot their own video and edit it using Adobe Premiere Pro software.
Film and production organisation techniques are discussed, then put to use as student groups produce their own short film. The tasks in Multimedia require group work, co-operation and shared creative control and allow students to swap roles within their project groups.
