On Monday the 19th of May from 8:30am - 9:30am bakers delight and parents from our school sold pink buns. Lots of students, siblings ,teachers and parents donated a gold coin in return for a delicious pink bun in support of Breast Cancer Australia. We wore a splash of pink to show our support for the charity . All the money went to hospitals to help women with breast cancer. Bakers Delight who run the charity are aiming to raise 2.5 million dollars just from selling pink buns!We all hope they raise all that money as it is going towards a very good cause. Thank you to the PnF group who have organised this very successful event!

This week all the 3/4s have been busy completing their projects in inquiry. The project is about Australian Symbols. We had to choose between an array of symbols such as the Commonwealth Coat of arms, National Colours, The Flag of Australia, Australian Aboriginal Flag, Torres Strait Island flag, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Southern Cross, and Slouch Hat. We all had a series of questions and all the 3/4s researched all the answers to the questions on the internet.
After our teacher checked our answers, we had all the information we needed to start our piktochart online. We chose the template and started our research project. We had lots of fun exploring and learning about Australian symbols.

On May the 21st the 3/4s visited Academy of Mary Immaculate to watch their play ´Frozen Junior´. It was based on Frozen 1.
All the 3/4s were so excited to watch the show that our heads could explode! The theater was so gorgeous with all the spotlights shining around the room. On all the seats were little badges and a small paper saying ´Thank you´. It felt like we were in a magic castle. The special effects were awesome, when there was a snowstorm it felt chilly and it sounded like a real snow disaster. The music was wonderful,so catchy and plus the dances were so interesting and well choreographed. We had the best time ever!!

All 3 /4 grades finished their novel Yirra and her deadly dog Demon. We had a lot of fun learning about how Yirra was going to train her dog demon. Demon was very naughty; he chewed on slippers and he usually hid a bunch of things. Yirra had two weeks to train Demon or else he had to go away to a different owner. Yirra thought she couldn’t do it until her crush Matt had a cousin who was an expert dog trainer. To Yirra’s success and delight Demon is now really well behaved and will now listen to her. Yirra reckons that Demon is so well trained that he might even be able to read! We enjoyed reading the book as it was based in Australia and had some very interesting facts about aboriginal people.
