Learning and Teaching

National Simultaneous Storytime

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. On Wednesday at 12:00 all students gathered in their classrooms to watch and listen to the story 'The Truck Cat' by Deborah Frenkhel and iluustrated by Danny Snell. The Truck is a story about cats and humans, immigration and identity, and homes lost and found. THe students engaged in various follow up activities to reflect on the story.
