Foundation Update

It’s been another busy and exciting term in Foundation! Our young learners have been exploring the fascinating world of living and non-living things, discovering what makes something alive and how to care for the world around us.

In Literacy, we’ve been developing our phonemic awareness—learning to hear, say, read, and write sounds, blend them into words, and use them to build sentences. It’s wonderful to see the children growing in confidence with their reading and writing skills!

In Numeracy, we’ve been focusing on teen numbers and practising counting forwards and backwards. We've also been working on identifying numbers that come before and after, exploring the concepts of one more and one less, learning about ordinal numbers, and even collecting and interpreting simple data.

Well done to our Foundation students for their curiosity, creativity, and hard work this term!
