Cold Weather & Wet Weather Timetables.

As winter slowly approaches, the mornings become colder, and hopefully we get some rain, I would like to inform parents of our school-based policy. This policy also includes Hot Weather Timetables; however, we will not be needing these at this time of the year.

These policy decisions have been made to ensure all our students play safely, are warm and ready to commence the day at 9.00am.

  • During Terms 2 and 3, prior to the start of the school day, the principal or their delegate will monitor the temperature and yard conditions. On mornings when the temperature falls below 5°C, a cold weather timetable may be implemented. Under this schedule, students will remain indoors in their classrooms and participate in classroom activities/play.

  • Throughout the year, weather and yard conditions will be regularly monitored. Adjustments to schedules may be made on rainy days as necessary, this may include limitations to yard play or wet day timetable. Students will be prohibited from going outside during thunderstorms for safety reasons.

If you have any questions about this policy, please feel free to come and see me.

Regional Cross Country.

Congratulations to Lyla and Luka on their performance at the Regional Cross Country on Monday. Both students braved the strong winds and hill climbs to achieve some great results.

Luka ran a personal best of 12.03, coming in 25th, with only 30 seconds between 12th and 25th place.

Lyla ran a time of 14.57, which was a personal best for her.

Curriculum Days

Just a reminder that we have 2 curriculum days coming up this term. Students are not required at school on this day. Teachers will be undertaking professional development on both these days.

Tuesday 10th June - Curriculum Day - No school for students

Friday 20th June - Curriculum Day - No school for students

Slipper and Gum Boots

As the wet weather comes, we get a lot of students asking to wear slippers and gum boots. Across the school, we allow slippers to be worn, when inside, but students must bring other shoes to wear

Gum boots can be worn, but it is not encouraged due to safety when students are active and running about. If choosing to wear boot, students must have other shoes for inside the classroom.

We do not allow steel cap work boots to be worn by students.
