Year 2 Melbourne Zoo Excursion - Tuesday 3rd June
As part of our Year 2 Inquiry unit on Geography: Around the world, Grade 2 students will be visiting the Melbourne Zoo to deepen their understanding of places and how people are connected to them. This hands-on learning experience will support students in exploring how different habitats support various animals and understanding the importance of caring for places.
Prep History Box Incursion - Wednesday 4th June
As part of our History Inquiry Unit this term we are providing students with an opportunity to attend a 'Life Then and Now' Incursion run by 'History Box'. Students will have an opportunity to explore and compare 'Olden Day' artefacts, learn to play 'Olden Day' Games, learn to write on chalkboards and slate boards like students did in the past, and make their very own game they get to keep and take home.
Year 3 Moonlit Sanctuary Excursion - Wednesday 11th June
As a part of our Term 2, Science unit students will attend an excursion to Moonlit Sanctuary. Here they will participate in a guided walk through the Park to observe and learn about Australian mammals and birds. They will observe physical characteristics, behaviour, life cycle strategies, and habitats of animals. The students will learn about the threats faced by both endangered and non-threatened species and will be introduced to the “Conservation Status” of species. As a part of the excursion, students will attend a ‘Reptile Encounter’ session, which will bring them up and close to a variety of reptiles!
Year 5/6 Sovereign Hill Excursion - Mon 30th June - Wed 2nd July
We are off to Sovereign Hill, Ballarat, staying in the onsite accommodation.
This camp will support our students’ inquiry learning brilliantly; The Gold Rush in Grade 5 and Immigration Studies in Grade 6. The students will “Step back in time, uncover history and ignite their curiosity on the Ballarat Goldfields”
Included in the “Stay & Learn Gold Package” students will have a multi day pass to enter Sovereign Hill, visit the Aura Night Show, participate in two education programs, watch a gold pour demonstration, dip their own candle, visit an underground quartz mine and have time to wander around Sovereign Hill in small groups!
This will be an amazing opportunity for all students and will be a pivotal part of their inquiry learning.
The Smile Squad free school dental program is coming to our school

Smile Squad is the Victorian Government free school dental program.
This means ALL students can get a free dental check-up, preventive services, and treatment at school.
