Principal's Post

Dear Families,

It will be a short week at school for me as I am heading off learning on a two day mini conference in Healesville with our Outer Eastern Zone Principals on Thursday morning. We have two days of learning planned with a focus on MACS 2030 Vision For Instruction and Vision for Engagement. It will also provide us with an opportunity to formulate and put forward some collegial recommendations to MACS and the Education Union regarding the next Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.

Centre Road Parking

You may have noticed the new signs and parking laws the local council have changed in the parking bay out the front of the school fence. Please note this is only a 2 min 'kiss and drop' or 'pick up' zone at school drop off and pick up. Theoretically, the advantage of this extended 2 minute stopping distance is to facilitate more students to board cars more quickly and therefore reduce traffic congestion in the area.

Cross Country

Congratulations to all of our Cross Country runners who competed in the Division Cross Country event today. We are pleased to say that Koray and Xavier made it through to the Regional event.

Thanks to Catherine Wall and Antoinette Moroney for looking after the students at the event today.

National Reconciliation Week 27 May - 3 June

We have a number of activities planned in various levels of the school around this time. our whole school value focus this term of INCLUSION compliments this well.

Today Cath Ferlazzo and myself took 10 of our Year Six students to the Whitehorse Council Sorry Day Flag Raising Ceremony and a discussion of First People’s Art held on the council's grounds.

Next Monday 2 June, Monica DeLeo will take another 10 of our Year Six students to the Aquinas Long Walk for Reconciliation, held on and around the Aquinas school grounds.

Preps 2026

We have almost completed our Prep meet and greet interviews for our 2026 Prep families. If you have not done so already, please complete an online enrolment form by Wednesday. Otherwise they may miss out on a place.

Meeting and interacting with our new students: the potential school leaders, cross country champions, library monitors, concert production stars or great role models is a time I look forward to and treasure.

Student Responsibility for Belongings and Equipment

Unfortunately, we need to have a blitz on this because there are a few too many jackets, drink bottles and equipment items left on benches and the ground following lunchtimes, recess and class times.

Please speak with your children about this and together we can bring about some change to habits of those students who need a bit of help.

Special Food Day - Subway Day

It's Subway Day on Wednesday 11th June.
