CTC - Curious Thinkers Chest

Ms Ward

In Stage 2 students show their curiosity and critical thinking in CTC (Curious Thinkers Chest). This term, students were surveying students and doing research on the games played at recess and lunch and what is available to students during playtime. Students used their mathematical skills to create a table and graph to show their results.

Students then used books and the internet to research more about games and using their knowledge, identified an inquiry question to problem-solve. Once their inquiry question was developed, students began to make a prototype of their solution with their team.

During the prototype phase, students work collaboratively with their teams to make a plan, gather their materials and create their solution. Their solution was shared at our CTC expo to parents and other students.

Sara B: "I enjoyed looking at the Loom Bands with Gizelle and people coming to our table to take them".

Gizelle E: "I enjoyed students taking my loom bands at the CTC expo and looking at my poster that I made with my team".

Bilal A: "I enjoy CTC because there is a lot of fun stuff you can do, like use the laptops".

Hadees A: "I enjoyed creating a Bracelet Club with my group and lots of girls showed that they were interested in coming to it".
