Tallulah's Luce Moment

Last week at Holy Cross we saw a white pigeon on a day that was very rainy. The pigeon reminded me of Luce's pigeon. It means hope and luck.

We put the pigeon in the shelter shed, but it kept coming back.  We tried again but this time we gave it some food and when the rain ended it flew away.

I think God wants us to look after all animals, especially when they're tired and hungry.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday

This Sunday marks a significant celebration in the Catholic Church as we honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Held on the first Sunday of July, it falls within NAIDOC Week, a national celebration of the history, culture, and achievements of First Nations peoples.

Pope Francis reminds us that hope calls us to embrace beauty, include others, and face challenges with courage. May we be a community that welcomes all, where everyone feels valued, safe, and at home.

Lord, send us forth in strength and hope.
