Tamworth City Eisteddfod Class Ensembles

Congratulations to our wonderful Stage 1 and Stage 2 classes for their performances in the recent Music section of the Tamworth City Eisteddfod. Both classes were awarded third place and they received many positive comments from the adjudicator.

Stage 1 Adjudicator’s comment

“This was an engaging performance. Every child had a role in this. There were puppets, xylophones, woodblocks and guiros! Lovely performance and very good focus and enjoyment for the children. Showing skills of listening, watching, timing & singing.”

Stage 2 Adjudicator’s comment

“Lovely singing throughout this song about Goldfields. There was a great variety of percussion instruments on stage. This made a rich and interesting sound and texture. You were all very focused, very good and watching, listening and following your teacher. You concentrated so well and were so quiet when not performing! A really enjoyable performance today!”

Special thanks to our wonderful music teacher Hannah Caterer for preparing the students so well. It was  a worthwhile experience to perform and also to watch the variety of musical performances from other schools. Parents can see this performance at our Grandparents Concert next week on Thursday 3rd July.

Parent Teacher Interviews

I encourage all parents and carers to make themselves available for Parent Teacher Interviews over the next two weeks. This is an important time to work with your child’s teachers to support your child’s learning.

Have a happy week
