Year 3 – Exploring Circular Weaving
During Term 2, our Year 3 students have been exploring how clothing and knitwear are made, focusing on the traditional art of weaving using a loom. As part of their hands-on learning, the students created their own circular looms, decorating them with vibrant patterns and colours to reflect their personal creativity.
Each week, students eagerly looked forward to using a variety of colourful and textured yarns to weave on their looms. Their enthusiasm has been evident as they experimented with different techniques and patterns, proudly watching their circular weavings take shape. This engaging activity has not only enhanced their understanding of textile production but also nurtured their artistic expression and fine motor skills.
Well done, Year 3!
