Principal's Message

Dear Families,

As we approach the conclusion of the term, it has been amazing to reflect back on how quickly the time has flown since I joined the wonderful WVPS community. This term has provided myself with a great opportunity to understand all elements associated with Wyndham Vale and these learnings have left me very excited about 

the bright future ahead for our students, staff and families.

Just a reminder to all families that we have an earlier dismissal time of 2:30pm on Friday. Please make the necessary arrangements to ensure your child/children are collected at this earlier time.

I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday break and we look forward to having all our students rejoin us for the final term of the year on Monday 7th October.  

Term 4 Hats:

Please be aware when students return in Term 4, they are expected to be wearing a hat which complies with our school’s SunSmart policy.

Please use the time across the holiday break to locate student’s hats from earlier in the year or arrange for a new one so that students are ready to go in Term 4.  

Term 4 Timetable Change:

Commencing in Term 4 the entire school will be returning to a single timetable rather than the two timetables which have been operating across the past few years. This shift comes on the back of feedback from the school review which was conducted earlier in the year.

Much planning has gone into ensuring a smooth transition for all to the new timetable including assigning passive and active spaces in the yard, the establishment of numerous clubs including Art, STEM and Gym which will operate during break times along with more staff members on yard duty to support students.

Students have been informed of this change this week and will be provided with further reminders and supports upon returning in Term 4.

We are very excited by this timetable adjustment and the positive implications it will have in developing calm orderly learning environments for all our students and staff.

The timetable for all will be as follows:

8:20am- Gates Opened

8:35am- Classroom Doors Open

8:45am-9:45am (Session 1)

9:45am-10:35am (Session 2)

10:35am-10:45am (Recess Eating Time-Inside Classrooms)

10:45am-11:15am (Recess Break)

11:15am-12:15pm (Session 3)

12:15pm-1:15pm (Session 4)

1:15pm-1:25pm (Lunch Eating Time-Inside Classrooms)

1:25pm-1:55pm (Lunch Break)

1:55pm- 2:55pm (Session 5)

2:55pm- School Dismissal

3:10pm- Gates Closed    

School Saving Bonus:

In order to receive the important information allowing yourself to access the $400 school saving bonus in Term 4, it is vitally important to ensure the following is completed by 

Friday 18th October:

Complete enrolment

If your child, or children are changing government school for Term 1 2025, or starting Prep or Year 7 in 2025, please complete enrolment.

2025 School Planning:

As we move closer towards the end of the year, we are beginning to commence planning around the 2025 school year. To support us with these plans, we kindly are asking that if you child will not be returning to Wyndham Vale Primary School in 2025 to please contact the school informing us of this information. We thank you for your assistance with this matter.
