Wellbeing

Our Term 4 RRRR focus is Positive Coping (Topic 3). This will involve explicit instruction in:

  • Reflecting on emotional responses to a range of situations.
  • The use of positive self-talk.
  • The use of both calming and cheering coping strategies and when to use them.
  • Strategies to deal with emotions such as fear and anger.
  • Understanding individual differences in emotional responses and coping strategies.

 

Our Visible Wellbeing focus is on relationships. This will be implemented into everyday classroom life through the use of connection-focused activities and brain-breaks. We will also explore how to engage in healthy relationships through a digital lens by exploring online safety, promoting ethical use of digital technologies, and exploring topics such as cyber-bullying.
