General Information

Welcome to Term 4! We hope you have had a restful break and are looking forward to your child’s final term of Grade 2. This is a jam-packed term with lots of engaging learning activities and special events. Below you will find important calendar dates, information regarding your child’s library and STOMP timetables and classroom volunteer opportunities throughout the term. 

Calendar Dates:

• Twilight Carnival - October 25th
• Term 4 exhibition - October 31st
• Curriculum day - November 4th
• Transition session #1 - November 27th
• Transition session #2 - December 4th
• Curriculum day - December 9th
• Step-up day - December 10th
• Christmas carols - December 13th
• Final day of school - December 19th
• Mini Olympics - TBD

Timetable

Please ensure that library books to be returned are brought to school on your child’s library day, or alternatively returned to the library at a time that suits you. Our library timetable is as follows:

• Monday Session 2 (9:50-10:40) - 2C
• Tuesday Session 1 (9:20 - 9:50) - 2B
• Tuesday Session 5 (1:50-2:40) - 2D/2E
• Tuesday Session 6 (2:40-3:30) - 2A

STOMP

Students will participate in STOMP this term for six weeks commencing from November 11th. The times that each class will attend are listed below:

• Monday Session 1 (9:00-9:50) - 2B/2C.
• Monday Session 2 (9:50-10:40) - 2E.
• Thursday Session 4 (12:00-12:50) - 2A/2D.

Volunteer Opportunities 

Classroom Helpers

In Term 4 starting in week 3 we will commence welcoming parents as classroom volunteers. You must have a current Working With Children Check and have previously completed the Parent Helper course. This is part of our school policy in order to volunteer in your child’s classroom.

A sign up sheet will be sent to parents shortly detailing availabilities for all Grade 2 classroom volunteers.
