Honouring and celebrating our student's achievements
Each week we love to celebrate any students who may have achieved something significant during sporting events, dancing, baptisms, theatre, music achievements etc. both inside school and outside school.
Please email reception@dcs.tas.edu.au with the details (we would love a photo too!) so we can celebrate together as a community.
Congratulations to Avé (Yr 8), who competed in her first weightlifting competition on the weekend for the Weightlifting Tasmania State Championships. After only entering the sport a year ago, Avé came away with two gold medals: one for Under 15s and one for Under 17s!
Congratulations to Poppy and Eva (both Yr 4), who competed at the State Gymnastics Championships over the weekend in Hobart. The girls competed in the Level 5 Women's competition and were the only nine year olds in the competition! The girls came away with the following:

Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Devonport Eisteddfods recently. Below are just a few of our students who performed. Congratulations to Ava (Yr 6), who performed La Boheme with Opera Australia last Tuesday evening at the Burnie Performing Arts Complex. Ava was the only child in the group to sing a small solo in the performance!
