Team Leader's Message
What an exhilarating time it’s been in our 11/12 section! We recently hosted an information session for Year 10 students transitioning to Year 11, setting the stage for their upcoming journey in VPC. We’re also in full swing with enrolments for our Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs. Please remember to return those preference forms to Megan as soon as possible to secure a spot in your desired programs, as placements are filling up quickly.
Our Year 12 students have once again participated in the ‘Stories from My Life’ project with the Banyule Local Learning and Employment Network (BNLLEN). This initiative allows students to learn about local volunteers' lives and create presentations about them. It’s incredible to witness the meaningful connections formed and the students’ presentations, followed by a delightful morning tea with their volunteers.
As we approach November, Year 12 students are eagerly preparing for their final camp on the Mornington Peninsula and their upcoming Graduation. It’s a time filled with excitement and anticipation!
For our Year 11 students, their Presentation Ball on August 30th was a night to remember. The evening kicked off with students arriving in limousines, capturing the moment like celebrities. All of our young people took their moment to shine as they were first introduced by Megan and then presented to their Family and Friends by Bronwyn and Karlie. The students dazzled with their dance performances, adding some unique additions to the routine. After the formalities, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and a lively dance floor, with families, friends, and staff dancing the night away. We’ve included some photos from the evening for your enjoyment. USBs with the full event footage will be sent home soon, and the formal photographer's photos are now available to view.
We’re eagerly looking forward to the next term, with our student-directed learning programs and final special events of the year on the horizon.
