From the Principal

Welcome back to Term 4!!

I hope everyone managed to have a great break and we are all ready and refreshed to go for a very busy Term 4.

I urge families to read the weekly newsletter and to keep up to date with all of the events happening here at school. These events can be found under the Important Dates and Upcoming events tab.

Grandparents Mass and Morning Activities:

On Thursday, 17th of October we are holding a special Grandparents Mass and Activities morning. All grandparents are welcome to join in a whole school Mass from 9am. We will then move back over to the school where the Grandparents are welcome to go into classrooms and complete activities. Siblings will work together so everyone has a chance to spend some time with loved ones

Junior Information Evening:

On October 22nd at 6:30pm we are hosting a Junior Information Evening for all Prep 2025 - Year 3 2025 families. This evening will unpack how the junior school will run in 2025, introduce the 2025 Junior teaching staff (Prep - Year 3) and also provide some details on the successes of our approach to reading with families, the science behind our reading approach and how you can support your child at home. The evening will also go through Prep 2025 transition details. If you would like to discuss this evening further or have any questions please speak to myself or Deputy Principal, Danielle George.

School Closure:

Just a reminder that the school will be closed on Monday 21st of October. The staff will be undertaking Professional Learning on this day, the school will also be closed on Monday, November 4th and Tuesday, November 5th for the Melbourne Cup long weekend.

Year 6 Jumper - 2025:

Our Year 6 students for 2025 have now voted on their preferred design for the 2025 Year 6 Jumper. A sizing guide will come home tomorrow via Operoo. We will get the jumpers delivered and create a unique design for the back. Thanks to Vanessa Del Monaco (Alessia's mum) for helping us with his project.

Some Visitors:

While the 4/5/6 students were off site at Summer Sports, the rest of the school were paid a visit by some pretty special friends.

Summer Sports:

A big congratulations to our seniors students for the way they represented our school yesterday at Summer Sports. It was a beautiful day weather wise and from all reports the students had a wonderful time. I will work with our sports leaders over the next week and provide a more detailed report for the next newsletter.

Thank you and God bless
