Afterward, have a discussion with someone at home, “What can we do, when we feel that emotion, to make ourselves feel better?”
Discuss positive self-talk/affirmations and ‘cool down’ strategies (e.g. having a drink, reading a book, quiet time, taking ten deep breaths).
