Primary Sub School News

Sub School Leader: Michelle Davies

We have arrived in Week 10!

It has certainly been a busy week and term!  We have packed a lot in and have lots to be very proud of, not least our incredible Production!  I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for your hard work in supporting our students.  The Primary production was wonderful and I am sure that our parents and carers were equally thrilled to see their children performing.

IEPs

The Semester 2 IEPs should now be finalised - many thanks for completing these.

Yearbooks

Yearbook blurbs should also have been completed and sent to Cathie via uploading on the T-drive.

CTM

Please ensure that your CTM minutes are populated with students' learning goals ready for discussion at your meeting. If you'd like me to act as a norm monitor, timekeeper, or note-taker, just let me know. Additionally, following our PLC, think about how you can use your CTMs in Semester 2 to collaborate on updating Student Profiles and discussing progress towards IEP goals.

Term 4 Excursions

Be on the lookout for Term 4 incursion/excursion plans. These include CROCS and Aussie Farm Animals to name a few, as well as your individual plans.  Please let me know if you need any support and reach out to the Admin team with any questions.

Classroom Walls

Some classrooms have been noted to have writing on walls or cupboards using permanent markers, pencils, etc. If this applies to your room, please either clean it yourself or log it on maintenance to be removed. If you wish to record student heights, please use tape and remind students not to write or draw on the walls. Thank you for your support with this.

Absences & Planning Ahead

If you intend to be away, and know ahead of time, I encourage you to let me know in advance, so that I can support your classroom as needed, and make plans in advance. The earlier I know, the easier it is for me to plan ahead. Of course, there will always be times where this is not possible due to sickness and this is absolutely okay. I want to support your classroom team, and students, as best I can. As always, if you are going to be absent, please make Fiona aware as early as possible.

2025 Plans

A reminder that the 2025 staff preference survey closes 20th September. Be sure to action this, so that we can consider your plans for next year in the planning for 2025.
