CHILDRENS BOOKS

Our Lions Club run a warehouse selling secondhand (and some new) books. We have thousands of them, of all genres. We just wanted to let all the schools in our area know that on our sale days (2nd and 4th weekends of each month), we sell children’s books at the price of $5 for a supermarket bag full. We are in a warehouse at 60 Garsed Street Bendigo. If any of your parents wanted to purchase books for their children, this is a great way for them to get books very cheap. We also have “learning” books as well…. maths, science, cookery for kids, languages, spelling etc. All money raised from our book sales goes back into the community, with a small amount sent to help overseas disaster relief, but mostly local.

The Bendigo & District Table Tennis Association's stadium at 140 Victoria St Eaglehawk 3556 will be open to the public at the following days/times to anyone who would like to drop in and have a hit and it is FREE:

Thu 26th Sep 10AM - 4PM

Wed 2nd Oct 1PM - 4PM

Everyone is welcome, no need to book, just drop in and have some fun or more serious play. You could even try your hand against our Table Tennis Robot! Please remember to wear non-marking rubber shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.

WHITE HILLS CRICKET CLUB - JUNIOR COME & TRY DAY

Cricket Season 2024 – 2025 is fast approaching and registrations are now open via PlayHQ: https://www.playhq.com/cricket-australia/org/white-hills-cricket-club/bebe213b/register

White Hills intends to offer the following exciting opportunities for girls and boys of all abilities – starting with:

Woolworths Junior Blasters – perfect for new players with no experience ranging from 4 to 8 years to learn the basics of the game (day of the week TBC – this program is run by the club)
Woolworths Master Blasters – the next step from Junior Blasters progressing to small sided games – perfect for players between 8 and 10 (either a Monday or Friday – subject to confirmation from the BDCA).
Under 11s – which this year will be held on Monday nights.
Under 12s – which this year will be held on Saturday mornings.
Under 14s – which this year will be held on Saturday mornings; and
Under 16s which will be held on Wednesday evenings

(Note for under 11s, 12s, 14s and 16s ages are as of the 1st of September).
