Principal's Report

It’s hard to believe we have reached the end of term 3. As usual, we have had a focus on Health and PE in the final week. Hopefully, you’ve seen many students participating in our morning walking or running laps of the oval competition. Thank you to Shelley and Mandy for their exceptional Leadership during that last couple of weeks, while I was busy doing “Jesus stuff” as one of my highly respected Grade 6 students elegantly pointed out to me.

Last night we welcomed back the Grade 5 campers, who even though weary, would have been very eager to share their Billabong experience with their families over the dinner table. Thanks to Paul Wilkinson for accompanying our travellers on their journey. Paul was very happy to attend camp and reconnect with the students. In addition to this, Paul is also keen to return to Holy Rosary in Term 4. We too look forward to welcoming Paul back to Holy Rosary. Humility and service are the key messages in this week’s Gospel reflection. These attributes are the pathways to greatness in Christ’s kingdom. I am proud of the way our Leadership team has demonstrated these skills to you all during term 3, and I thank the entire staff for supporting us all in the roles we so graciously accepted to fulfil this term.  I have enjoyed my time as Acting Principal and I thank you all for being such a wonderful group to lead, and for the way you have also embraced me as your leader.

May you have a wonderful holiday break, make sure you find plenty of time to replenish your energy levels, so that everyone is ready for a great term of learning and most importantly stay safe. See you all in term 4.

Acting Principal

LEARNING CONVERSATIONS

Learning Conversations are an integral part of our assessment and reporting program. Once again, we will be having our formal get together early in Term 4 and invite parents to book in for either a face to face or virtual meeting. Bookings will open Monday 7th October. With limited times available; I urge everyone to keep an eye out for the opening and prioritise this last opportunity in the 2024 academic year to meet with your child's teacher.

HATS

As a SunSmart school, this is just a reminder that hats need to be worn while playing outdoors. Please ensure you clearly mark your child’s name on them (and all other items of clothing). Hats do have a habit of disappearing!

BUS TRAVEL

Thank you to all the families who have responded to our bus travel survey for term 4. Where possible we try our best to accommodate travellers on our waiting list. Unfortunately, places are limited and we are currently running a full service.
