Welcome back to Term 2
I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter break and enjoyed some well-deserved time off. Personally, I had a wonderful getaway with my family in the picturesque town of Paynesville. It was a time filled with good books, perhaps a bit too much chocolate, and the anticipation of the exciting term ahead.
There's a lot to look forward to this term!
We have some fantastic events lined up, including Indonesian Day at Heathmont Secondary, Camp for our Year 5 and 6 students, Photo Day, the U R Strong Excursion, Gala Days and Cross-country events and Education week with a focus on STEM. It's going to be a term packed with fun and learning!
Speaking of learning, our focus on academic excellence continues. This term, we'll be placing a special emphasis on Mathematics and the development of the four proficiencies: fluency, reasoning, problem-solving, and understanding. We're committed to ensuring that every student has the tools they need to excel in this critical subject.
Parents can look forward to receiving school reports in the last week of term. These reports provide valuable insights into your child's progress and achievements throughout the term.
Let's make it a term filled with growth, discovery, and success!
ANZAC Commemorations
We are pleased to announce that our School Captains have been invited to participate in the ANZAC Day Ceremony on April 25th, hosted by the Ringwood RSL Sub Branch and to lay a wreath to represent our school community.
The ANZAC Day Dawn Service will commence at 5:30 am at the Memorial Clock Tower.
We encourage any of our students and their families to join us in honouring the courage and sacrifice of our servicemen and women on this solemn occasion.
