Learning resilience

We have been working on building our resilience in our learning. We were inspired by the Year 1 performance of the 'I Have a Go' song last week. As a result, we have been learning all about the power of 'yet', where we recognise that even if we can't do something at the moment, with practise and effort we will be able to get there in the end.

Math 

We played number race games to further develop our fluency with numbers to 20 and discussed phrases we could say to our partners if we won or lost and we have been getting better at realising that playing games with friends can still be fun, even if you don't win every time! 

Last week, each class had an unexpected arrival! Mysterious doors appeared on the wall in each classroom along with some tiny messages from the visitor. We each had a go at writing letters back to our visitors and are still waiting to see how long they will be staying!
