School Sports Victoria - State Diving Championships

Report by Jeronimo 6D

Hi, I'm Jeronimo and I compete in diving. Yes, the sport that you do flips in the air.

Two weeks ago, I represented the Victorian team. I did all of the competitions: 3 metre, 3 metre synchronised, 1 metre and 5 metre. In all of them, I came 5th, except for synchronised. I came 4th by 11 points. Nationals was fun but hard.

A week after Nationals, I did school regionals. I competed against the North Region and I came 1st. I then qualified for States, which was on the same day. The best for divers from each region progress to State. At States, I came second in Victoria, which makes me feel proud to representing NMPS. I I’m very happy with the results! Thanks for reading.

2024 Summer Inter School Sport

Cricket by Max and Haron, 6D

The NMPS cricket team had a blast when they played at the Ascot Vale District Gala Day. The first day we played 3 games and we won all three!

Then after the Term 1 holidays, we played cricket on the first day of school. We played 4 games, but unfortunately we only won one.

Although we will not go to Divisions, at the end of the day, we all had an excellent time playing together. We all hit plenty of runs and took wickets! The cricket team all did really well.

Thanks to teachers who came to the gala day and helped us! Congratulations to all the students that were a part of Summer Gala Day and thank you Ascot Vale for letting us use the area.

Soccer by Emily, 6D

Hi, I'm Emily and I played girls interschool soccer. I had to compete in three soccer matches with my team. We won all three for the first gala day and the second gala day we won three matches again, including finals. Unfortunately we didn’t win, but that's okay because we worked as hard as we could as a team.

My friend group and I got into interschool soccer and I was very happy for everyone and my friends. Also the boys did very well and scored good goals and worked well as a team. We had to compete the same level as the other soccer teams and it was very hard, but we tried our best and did lots of teamwork and passing the ball to people that wouldn’t feel ready, but at least had a go.

After finals when we didn’t win, my whole team was very sad! When that's was over, Emma bought us some hot chips as a reward for trying really hard and doing really well.
