Buddy Program

Year 6 students have been participating in the buddy program which focuses on helping Prep students ease into their learning journey but also to build relationships between campuses. 

Every Wednesday, students from Year 6 have been walking over to the Molesworth campus whilst acknowledging school values where we have been meeting with the current Preps for a whole hour. Then Year 6 students split off into their buddy classrooms where they reunite with their ‘little buddies’. They have been participating in a variety of craft activities such as colouring alphabet letters for Reading and Writing lessons or cutting and pasting different shapes for a Maths lesson. Students have also been given the opportunity to play outside on the playground! 

During the previous sessions students also began creating some ideas for the design of their ‘favourite toy’ that will be made alongside our buddy partner. 

At the end of the hour students say goodbye to their buddies, wishing them well for the rest of the week and make their way back to Errol St in time for lunch.
