PREMIERS READING CHALLENGE

All BHNPS students have been registered for the 2024 Premiers’ Reading Challenge. This week students will be given a slip with their login and passcode details.   This year the Premiers’ Reading Challenge will also be a competition between classes of the same year levels! All books read and logged will earn a point for each student’s class. Log in and start reading to support your class! Follow your class’ progress here in the newsletter.

To get started, visit https://www.vic.gov.au/school-student-and-parents-taking-part-premiers-reading-challenge#logging-in-with-a-challenge-passcode

After clicking on the above link, follow the instructions under the heading "Logging in with a Challenge passcode”. It is important to note, each year level needs to read a minimum number of books to successfully complete the Challenge. Furthermore, a certain number of books must be “challenge” books. (A challenge book is a book that appears on the list of selected books chosen by organisers.) It is easy to know how many books you are required to read by looking at the top right-hand corner of the screen when you have logged in. Prep-2 Example: 30 books must be read to meet the Challenge. 20 challenge and 10 free choice. Grade 5/6 Example: 15 books must be read to meet the Challenge. 10 challenge and 5 free choice. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. Good luck and enjoy reading!
