Year 10 Update

Finding the balance

The key to success

I am delighted with the positive start the Year 10 students have made to Term 2 and what a busy term it is going to be. Building on the valuable insights from our presentation with our school counsellor Charlotte Edmonds on 'Anxiety and Perfectionism', our focus now turns to fostering a healthy balance between academic pursuits and personal wellbeing for success.

It's imperative that our students are equipped with the necessary study skills as they prepare for their first taste of exams in Week 8. To cater for this, time during Wellbeing will be spent actively working on personalised study schedules tailored to each student's needs. Study techniques such as effective note-taking strategies and time management will also be featured. Whilst exams may seem weeks away, it is important to instil a sense of confidence and preparedness for exams and work with the Year 10’s on this has well and truly begun.

In addition to academic preparations, we have numerous events in our calendar across the coming weeks specific to the Year 10 program. We are looking forward to Ms Freney working with students on their Morrisby Testing and finalising details for Work Experience should be in the final stages. It is also wonderful news that there is now confirmation that the Year 9 and 10 Formal will go ahead in Term 4. If you haven't booked yet, do so here .
