Get ready for a time warp! This week, Humanities Week took over lunchtimes, transporting students on a journey of discovery.

Teachers whipped up exciting activities that challenged students to crack codes, explore the world, and battle for knowledge. From deciphering ancient messages to racing through a global quiz, there was something for everyone.

Our very own Money Markets classes hosted their Market Day on Wednesday at lunchtime, and let's just say it was a recipe for success!

Students from both classes have been busy entrepreneurs in the making, learning the valuable steps involved in running a business. From teamwork and budgeting to creating and marketing their products, they've gained a practical understanding of the world of commerce.

And what products, you ask? Today's market boasted a delectable array of lunchtime delights. Craving savory? Hot dogs, sausage rolls, and steaming plates of fried rice were just a few of the hot lunch options. Feeling a sugar rush coming on? Then the sweet treats stall was your haven, with mouthwatering slices, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and classic Chunky Cookies.

But Market Day wasn't just about satisfying our taste buds. It was a valuable learning experience that went beyond the cash register. Students discovered the importance of collaboration, responsible money management, and the joy of contributing to a worthy cause. All profits from the market will be generously donated to charity!

This innovative Market Day proved to be an invaluable learning tool. It combined delicious treats with a practical business lesson, making it a memorable experience for both student entrepreneurs and their hungry customers. We can't wait to see what culinary creations these budding business minds come up with next!

Humanities Week was a roaring success, proving that learning about History, Languages, and Geography can be a blast! Huge thanks to our Humanities teachers (and the Food Technology staff) for making it such a fun and engaging experience.
