Mass House Update

Hi Everyone!

We’re joining forces to give you all one big cross-house update - our last one surprise to conclude the success of Term 1! 😁

As recently unveiled, Active April is back again in 2024🥳🎉 In case you forgot, Active April is an amazing initiative to keep fit, and while you’re at it, you’d be earning your house some points! And the best part is, many of us have already put the work in! Every little thing counts, from if it's walking from the station to school to the hours of basketball you all do at recess and lunch everyday. Make sure you don’t forget to sign up.

With the new announcement of house dance, we’re all looking forward to the final performances from our house teams in week 5 of term 2! All of the house art captains and dancers (of course) are working very hard to make this the most successful it can be, so go ahead and give it a lot of support! Also, don’t forget to keep an eye out for the release of the themes for House Art and House Drama.😱 No matter the level of your experience, it’s important to stay eager to participate as you never know how good you are until you try!

Of course, chorals is just around the corner and there’s an undeniable excitement in the air across all four houses. It’s been heartwarming to see so much enthusiasm throughout the school as we all work hard to prepare for the biggest competition of the year🎵. Every one of our voices creates the unique Suzanne Cory house spirit, you’re a member of your house band, small choir, and even mass singing, so continue to give it your all and support your chorals captains! We’ve seen some astounding creativity and talent in each of our own houses, and we can’t wait to use this opportunity to show it off. Chorals is truly one of the most memorable house events because it’s only possible with every student’s effort, so whether it's your first year involved or your last, let’s make chorals 2024 the one to remember! 💫🌟

So whether you’re in Blackwood⚔️, Rothwell🦅, Kororoit🐉 , or Cottrell🐸, term 2 is shaping up to become an absolutely jam packed term! While we know that it can be overwhelming at times, remember that everyone in the leadership team is here with you every step of the way. Remember to take a relaxing break and feel free to reach out to any one of us and/or other leaders from our leadership teams for any concerns or random suggestions!
