Celebrating Student Achievements
VCE Results: a source of pride
The College is thrilled with the VCE Results achieved in 2023, which saw an increase in the mean Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) from 63.8 in 2022 to 65.74 this year. The ATAR takes into account each students results and averages them out by the number of students who have completed their VCE.
60% of our students were awarded an ATAR of 60 or above.
4.3% of our students were in the 95 percentile for ATAR, almost double that of any of the previous five years.
128 students undertook VCE this year, with 5 students undertaking the VCE Vocational Major.
32 individual Study Scores of 40 or above were achieved, our highest result in the past five years and more than double the result of the past two years.
12 of them were for English and 5 in Sociology. There were 2 each in Biology, Psychology, Visual Communications and Design and VET Sport and Recreation. While one students in each of Accounting, Business Management, Economics, General Maths, Literature, Maths Methods, and VET Business made it into this top 20% bracket.
The 2023 Dux went to Jai Jun (John) Poon who scored an ATAR of 97, taking English, Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, Biology and Chemistry. John is planning on studying commerce at the University of Melbourne and is hoping to become either an investment banker or actuary.
We recognise and celebrate some of the other individual efforts.
