New Playground Update

After spending the best part of a year working towards an outcome, I’m pleased to finally announce that a new playground will be built in 2024. The work is scheduled to commence in April and be completed in October. 

The new playground and outdoor learning area will replace the existing Junior Primary playground, and the area vacated by the old transportable buildings. 

To say that the new outdoor space will be an upgrade is an understatement. Costing just shy of $1 million dollars, this space will include elements of play and outdoor learning which reflect contemporary playground design. This will truly be a magnificent space for our students, families and the wider community for many years to come.

Thank you to our Governing Council Chairperson, Jenn Roberts, who along with the Governing Council, relentlessly lobbied The Government to provide the funds for this project. The school and OSHC Service have also contributed significant amounts to meet the total funding required.  

We look forward to sharing more news early next year. In the meantime, here are photos of some of the elements that will be incorporated into the new space.
