A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Once again we have had an exciting end to a successful school year!

Our Presentation Day Assembly was well attended by our community. Congratulations to all the award winners, you should be proud of your hard work. I had the honour of selecting two students for a Principal's Award. Congratulations Brooklyn and Hendrix for being such wonderful role models in our school.

Last Friday we had our End of Year School Mass and Farewell to Year 6 students. We wish these students every success as they move to High School next year.

Our new Kinder students completed a very successful School Readiness program. The students have all settled into school life happily and we look forward to seeing our 2024 Kinder students join us for their first day of school on Tuesday 6th February.

We had the final of our St Joey’s Got Talent Competition. We had a wide range of talent this year from dancing to joke telling to roping cattle and an improvisation drama presentation! Congratulations to all the students who participated; it was a very entertaining and enjoyable event. Enjoy your gift cards!

The end of the school year is always a time to thank the many people who have contributed to our community. Thank you Fr Kingsley for your class visits, prayers and guidance.  Thank you to our wonderful staff for your team work, dedication and care of our students.  Thanks to our students for being ‘YOU’.

Thanks also to our PT & F led by Jenni Hird, Ashleigh Stevenson and Michelle Cortis. We all appreciate the countless hours you put into our school community. Thank you also to our School Advisory Council led by David Lee for your help and advice.

On behalf of all of our staff thank you for trusting us to provide a Catholic education for your precious children this year. It is an honour and privilege to help each child become the best version of themself.

GREAT Music News!

Hannah Caterer will be returning to teach Music at our school next year. She will continue to do class lessons and is also available for individual lessons for piano & guitar (at a cost to parents). If you would like to book an individual lesson please ring Hannah on 0423223603 to secure a spot for your child.

I wish all our families a safe, happy and relaxing holiday. May you experience Hope, Peace and Joy this Christmas.

School resumes for students from Years 1- 6 on Thursday 2nd February.
