How fortunate our students are, to have such a great team of teachers who are committed to supporting our students to be their best, and are keen to be the best teachers they can be too!

Statewide Transition Day 12 December.

On the 12th, our year 6 students are visiting their chosen secondary schools, and all our students will spend the morning in their 2024 grades. Our 2024 Foundation students will be with us until the end of recess.

Take note-Students now finish on Tuesday 19th December, 3:10pm.

A very big thank you to our School Council who approved a whole school professional practice day for the last day of term.

This means that the last day of term for our students is on Tuesday 19th December, with a finish time of 3:10pm.

On the 20th, our staff will be learning about the Zones of Regulation so we will be ready to begin implementing the curriculum at the start of 2024.

School wide Positive Behaviour (SWPB) -Expected behaviours matrix.

Next year we will be joining the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support program. Implementing this program is a recommendation from our school review earlier this year and is based on feedback from parents/carers, students and staff who wanted clarity about behaviour expectations and how problem behaviours are managed.

We have begun some work already on introducing the SWPB program; thank you to the many parents/carers who contributed to our survey on 'Unwanted behaviours' and 'replacement behaviours'. Our staff and students also contributed to the survey.

Below is our behaviour matrix based on the feedback from all of you. Next year we will begin teaching our students about each of these expectations and working out what happens when these behaviour expectations are not followed.

If you would like a hard copy of our movie night flyer, please call in to the office to collect one. It would be great for lots of flyers to be up in work places so we get lots of people along to support our last fun-raiser.

Start of the 2024 school year.

Add these dates to your 2024 diary-

Monday 29th January Teachers are back at school.

Tuesday 30th January all our students are at school including our Foundation students.
