From the

Principal's Desk

Janine Kinninment

It is with mixed feelings I write my final principal message. Not only is this my last comment for 2023, but will be my last newsletter as I retire this afternoon as Principal of Burrendah Primary School.  I will oversee the roofing works that have commenced over the vacation break before handing responsibility over to Ms Sheri Evans, Burrendah’s new Principal, in January 2024. It has been an absolute pleasure to finish my forty-two-year career at Burrendah. The last seven years as principal of such a wonderful school have been a true blessing.

To our Camp Australia parents, thank you for your patience and flexibility while we work through the work involved in replacing a number of our buildings with new rooves and air conditioners.  This has meant the disruption of our vacation program as there will be times when only contractors can be on the school site to ensure the safety of all.  Camp Australia will notify you of these dates as soon as practicable. The first one is for all staff of Burrendah as well as everyone at Camp Australia on Tuesday 19th December 2023.  It is hoped that this will be the only day registered contractors can be on school grounds.

I wish everyone in our school community a safe and joyous Christmas break and for those who have time away from work, a relaxing holiday. I leave you with a picture of my backyard enjoying a coffee during the sunrise.  May all of your sunrises be as beautiful.
