Stage 1
Striving for Excellence
Learning Intention:To explore a local area
Striving for excellence looks like:
On Friday 17 November, Stage 1 students attended an excursion to explore Mt Annan Botanical Gardens. They should be proud of their behaviour and how they represented LPS. Many Botanical garden staff commented on how respectful towards the grounds and staff LPS students were.

Learning Intention: To initiate a change to LPS for the better
Striving for excellence looks like:
Ibrahim in 1/2F, approached Mrs Hambley with a problem he was seeing in the Stage 1 playground. Stage 1 students weren’t being safe respectful soccer players. Ibrahim with Sayan worked with Mrs Hambley to come up with an initiative that they would present to the Student Leadership team. They wrote and presented a speech to the Stage1 students asking them to sign a petition
On Thursday 16 November, Ibrahim and Sayan presented their speech and signed petition to the Student Leadership team. The Student Leadership team were very excited and listened intently.
Next week Ibrahim, Sayan and the Leadership team will develop a plan of action. Congratulations to Ibrahim and Sayan for leading change for Stage 1 students!

Learning Intention: To create an original Merry Christmas/happy holiday card that is for the Campbelltown community to be judged by MP Greg Warren.
Stage 1 Students were given the opportunity to use their lunch/recess to create a Merry Christmas/happy holiday card. The Stage 1 Students are to be congratulated for their community spirit. We are very proud of all Stage 1 participants with nearly 80 students entering.
We are very excited to announce that Liam M has won and will have his card shared with the Campbelltown community. MP Greg Warren will visit the school to congratulate Liam M later in the term.
