Chess Competition
We’re thrilled to share the exciting news about the recent chess competition that took place on Wednesday 8 November at Mount Waverley North Primary School. Selected students from EHPS showcased their strategic skills and sportsmanship as they engaged in a friendly match against students from MWNPS, Camelot Rise P.S., and Mount Waverley P.S.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for our young chess enthusiasts to connect with like-minded peers, sharing their passion for the game while fostering new friendships. Beyond the chessboard, this event allowed our students to develop essential interpersonal skills, nurturing teamwork, patience, and critical thinking in a competitive yet amiable environment.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that amidst this spirited competition, one of our own, Oscar T, emerged triumphant, claiming the coveted first place in the first division. Oscar’s dedication, strategic thinking, and commitment to the game have truly paid off, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to him for this outstanding achievement!
The competition was not only about individual victories but also about the collective sportsmanship displayed by all participants. The joy, enthusiasm, and mutual respect witnessed among the students highlighted the true essence of such events – fostering a love for chess while nurturing important life skills.
We extend our appreciation to all the students who participated and the supportive parents for their encouragement and guidance throughout this memorable event.
Let’s continue to encourage and support our young minds as they explore their passion for chess and strive for excellence in both their games and interpersonal growth.
