New - Mr Preston... You have been Slimed!

What an absolute champion! Thank you Mr Preston for being such a good sport!

 

 

 

NEW - Color Run

1 Sleep - Our Colour Run is nearly here! The P&F have lots planned! There will be obstacles, slime, super soakers and some very messy children! 

Parents, friends and the Mooroopna community come and watch the spectacle! Volunteers are still needed. The form is on PAM.

The colour run is on tomorrow, Thursday November 9th.

Events on the day - 

Start in the Silent Disco

Move onto The Colour Run after the silent disco - various obstacles such as a commando crawl slip and slide.

Get Wet and Colourful: Students should expect to get wet and get colourful, Teachers will colour bomb students with safe colourful powder at the finish line. Students should cross their arms if they don’t want to be bombed. 

 

This will be held at the Mooroopna Recreation Reserve - Bernie Trevaskis Oval. 

Students will eat lunch at school at 11am, walk across to the oval at 11:30am, thier recess will be taken across as thier snack for the afternoon and students will return at the end of the races at approximately 2:25pm. All students must return to school.

Students require their hat, a drink bottle and sunglasses or goggles if they want.

Students should wear casual clothes, white or light sun safe clothing, to school. Lighter clothing will get the most colourful experience. It’s best to also run in old running shoes.

Students can bring a change of clothes and a towel. These will be left at school.

 

Don’t Forget the class with the most funds raised prior to the Fun Run, will have the VIP Tent on the day filled with goodies!

New - Prep Investigating Bees

Our Preps have explored bees and how much they help everything grow. We explored honey and looked at hives, tasted honey, saw how bees get pollen from flowers and even being bee keepers and checking hives safely.

New - Preps explore Recycling

At school our Preps have been learning all about composting and recycling. We explored worms and how they help us compost and help our gardens grow. We all made our own mini worms farms to take home and start composting at home too.

New - Farm Animals visit Preps

The Preps had special farm animals visited their class!

New - Grade 3/4 Camp

Our Grade 3/4 campers arrived at Camp Currumbene in Corop and started their camp with morning tea.

Orientation an canoeing were on the timetable and of course one of the favorites, the Giant Swing and also the Flying Fox! Look at them fly! 

After dinner both nights the students had activities! The first night they all enjoyed a movie and quiet activities. And the second night the Grade 4s had a movie night and the Grade 3s had a Trivia night.

The staff also had a go at most activities and there was a crowd cheering for the Finska championship between Mr Gibson and Miss Calder, Mr Gibson was the winner! In the previous game Nerissa beat Mr Parker! The teachers were very competitive!

Well done campers.

New - Zooper Dooper Thursdays

The Grade 6 Social Justice Team will be selling Zooper Doopers for 50 cents each (limit of 1 per student) for the next FOUR Thursdays this term. Money raised will be divided between the Social Justice Team members who will then purchase a gift/gifts to go under our St Vinnie’s Christmas Giving Tree.
