Grade 4s

Greetings St John’s Community,

In recent weeks, our Grade 4 students have embarked on an exciting journey of discovery that has seamlessly integrated geography, mathematics, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Thanks to an engaging incursion with Bryce from Supreme Incursions, our students had the opportunity to apply their newly acquired orientation skills in a hands-on, competitive adventure that blended education with fun.

During this 90-minute adventure, students worked in teams to compete in a treasure hunt challenge. As part of this immersive experience, they learned essential principles of direction, orientation, mapping, and the art of deciphering codes. What made this adventure even more exciting was the way it seamlessly linked mathematical, geographic, health, and physical education skills.

Our students were not just tasked with solving puzzles and finding clues; they were challenged to apply lateral and critical thinking skills as they worked together to complete various exercises and solve cryptic clues. This experience was a testament to the power of teamwork, cooperation, and applying knowledge to real-life situations.

Awesome work Grade 4s!
