What an absolutely awesome couple of days of competition. I am so proud of Burrendah Primary students for their achievements on the sporting field and for their supportive natures with immense pride in each other and their school.
With a slow start on Day 1 consisting of the Jumps, Throws, and the 800-metre events Burrendah was placed 4th against Rostrata Primary in 3rd, Willeton Primary in 2nd place, and West Leeming Primary in the lead. In the true spirit of Burrendah, our athletes were able to turn things around on day 2 in the Track and Team games.
Overall, we came in 3rd so we should be feeling very proud of our efforts.
Congratulations to Willeton in 4th, West Leeming in 2nd, and Rostrata for taking home the win.
We were confident that we made excellent progress in the track events as Burrendah consistently placed first or second in many 200 and 70-metre events. Our relay scores were also very impressive.
Next year we will focus on polishing our Leaderball and Passball skills which were great, but with room to improve.
Burrendah produced 5 champion boys and girls
I am so impressed with the Burrendah students and can't thank them enough for their dedication, hard work, and fighting spirit.
