Room 18

While Room 18 has been busy with learning and assessment, there have also been some extra special highlights in Term 4.

Receiving letters from our Williams Primary School Pen-Pals is super exciting and motivates us to write letters for a purpose.

Our class was lucky enough to be chosen to help decorate vases for Mrs Kinninment’s farewell morning tea. The finished product looked stunning, and Mrs Kinninment was delighted.

Boogie Bounce was fantastic, and this is part of Arabella’s recount:

“Boogie Bounce looked quite fun because I love trampolines and I love bouncing on them. The Boogie Bounce instructor’s name was Lucy and she looked rather kind. She told us to sit cross-legged without talking. After that, we started her lesson and sat on the trampolines. We danced and followed Lucy’s moves. We went there for one hour and I felt happy and tired because trampolines are my favourite equipment.”

We had some weird and wacky Crazy Hair Day hairstyles in our classroom. Many students joined in the fun. It was a great day!

Room 19

What a busy Term 4 it has been so far!

In Room 19 we have been extremely busy with all different kinds of activities at school.

From EDU-Dance practice, team building activities in technologies, and creating our own maths games. The students are really enjoying having the new furniture in the classroom and the flexibility it provides to their learning environment. We are revising the topics we have learnt in mathematics and using our knowledge to create our own maths games.

Remembrance Day was a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge those who have served our country and to also look at the Ode of Remembrance as a topic in our poetry lessons.

We are excited for what the rest of Term 4 holds and we hope you enjoy our photos!

Room 22

This term is flying by! We’ve just had Crazy Hair Day which was lots of fun. In Maths, we have been measuring the length of our hands and feet. We have been exploring maps and have found lots of local places in some old street directories. We have started practicing reader’s theatre in our reading groups. This is a chance for us to show our dramatic sides. In Art, we made some crazy hair paintings by blowing paint with a straw. We were surprised at how much energy this took, and had to remember to take some breaths in!
