Open Girls Zone Netball Trials
Congratulations to the students who proudly represented Inverell High School at the Open Girls Zone Netball Trials last Friday.
A special mention to Melita H, who was selected in the Zone team — an outstanding achievement!
Well done also to Megan S and Mia C, who were named as reserves, and to Eloyse G, who was selected in the Possibles and Probables squad.
We are incredibly proud of your effort, sportsmanship and the way you represented our school. Wishing you all the best for the next stage!
Under 16s Rugby League Boys
Congratulations to our U16s Rugby League boys who attended the zone trials in Inverell today.
A special congratulations to the following students who were named in the Possibles and Probables:
Murray B, Nyvais D, Kaydon R, Corbin W, Toby M and Callum W.
An outstanding achievement to Kaydon R, Toby M and Corbin W, who were all successfully selected in the New England Zone team. They will now progress to the next round of trials in Week 10 in Armidale.
Well done to all players for representing the school with pride.
High School's Open Soccer Teams
High School’s Open Soccer teams competed in their CHS Round 1 matches on Tuesday 24th March against two strong Macintyre High School sides.
The boys took to the field first and delivered an impressive performance, securing a well-earned victory. Goals were scored by Nick T, Hayden G, and Tyson S, showcasing great teamwork and determination.
The girls faced a tough match and, despite a strong effort, went down 8–2. Goals for Inverell were scored by Georgie M and Olivia S. Both teams demonstrated resilience throughout the game.
A special mention goes to goalkeepers Murray B and Olivia P, who both put in outstanding efforts under pressure.
Both Inverell and Macintyre High Schools displayed excellent sportsmanship across the day. A huge thank you also goes to our resident referee, Mr Kerr, for his support and officiating.
CHS Basketball Championships
Congratulations to our four students who are representing North West at the CHS Basketball Championships in Castle Hill.
A great achievement and a credit to their hard work and commitment. We’re proud to see them representing our school and region.
