Year 9

Successes
It seems like just last week we were welcoming everyone back and now we've completed an entire term! What a journey it's been.
This week, we reached out to our students to discover what made this term memorable for them, and their answers were wonderfully consistent. From exciting new classes and subjects like wood-tech, metalwork, dance, and basketball, to the wonderful new teachers who've joined our community, our students have embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. And of course, those cherished moments recess and lunch continue to be highlights that bring our school community together.
As we head into the next term, we're grateful for the enthusiasm and energy our students bring to each day, and we're excited to see what comes next.
NAPLAN
A huge congratulations to our Year 9 students on completing the NAPLAN assessments! The Year 9 Team was impressed by your commitment and responsibility throughout from the practical details like bringing charged devices to the real work of staying focused and giving your best effort. You showed up ready and you delivered. Well done!
David Molnar
Congratulations to David on being selected to participate in the First Robotics Competition Southern Cross Regional 2026! David went to Sydney from March 12th to 15th to compete alongside talented roboticists from across the region. This is an incredible opportunity to showcase his robotics expertise while collaborating with teammates, solving complex problems, and pushing the boundaries of his creativity. We're thrilled for David and excited to see the skills and confidence he'll gain from this prestigious competition. This experience will undoubtedly shape his academic journey and personal growth in meaningful ways.
Looking ahead
Morrisby Testing for Term 2
Our Year 9 students will be completing the Morrisby Testing in Term 2, a comprehensive assessment tool designed to provide valuable insights into their strengths, interests, and aptitudes. This testing will help guide students as they make important decisions about their future course selections and career pathways. By understanding their unique profiles, students will be better equipped to choose subjects and pathways that align with their goals and potential. The Morrisby results will support our Year 9 team in providing personalised guidance as students plan for their senior years ahead.
From the Year 9 Team, we hope that you have an enjoyable and safe holiday, and we will see you back at school on, 20th of April, ATHLETICS DAY!
