Top Class Dance

On Monday March 2, we went to the Melbourne Recital Centre to watch Top Class Dance. This showcases the 2025 high achieving VCE and VCE VET dance students. We watched a variety of styles, skills solos and cohesive solos. These performers displayed technique, physicality, and artistry needed to successfully receive a high mark in our VCE and VET solos. Overall, it was an enjoyable and helpful experience for the senior BCDA students. I really enjoyed seeing the VET lyrical solos. I really hope to embody the talent, and artistry that they hold.

Bella Lock – VET 3/4 Student

We would like to acknowledge Lili Taivai, class of 2025, who was invited to this year’s Top Class, however due to moving interstate for her full-time dance course, she was unable to attend. Well done Lili on a huge achievement! 

BCDA Junior Industry Day

On Tuesday March 3, the year 7s, 8s and 9s participated in the BCDA Industry Day, which is a fun day where three choreographers came and taught us new skills and fun activities. We started off with lyrical taught by Bella Cruise. Next, we did a musical theatre workshop taught by Tara Kaur. The activities were fun, and the dance really brought everyone’s energy up! Then we did a hip hop workshop taught by Ainsley Butler. I loved the style of hip hop we did for this one. We all had so much fun, it was such a great experience!
