STAFF SPIRITUALITY DAY

On Monday, April 28th, our staff came together for a meaningful Spirituality Day, fostering reflection and connection. We began the day with Sister Chanel, who shared inspiring stories of the Brigidine Sisters. Her insights highlighted the enduring values and profound impact of the Brigidine order, emphasising how their principles continue to guide and inspire us today. This session set a reflective and thoughtful tone for the day, reinforcing the importance of compassion, service, and a strong sense of community in all that we do.

We then went on a pilgrimage centred around the Year of Jubilee. This journey was both a physical and spiritual walk, allowing us to reflect on our own faith journeys and the themes of renewal and forgiveness. The pilgrimage provided a quiet space for personal reflection and collective bonding, deepening our connection to the spiritual themes of the Jubilee.

The day ended with an exploration of the Sydney Catholic Schools System theme "May we always seek what is good, true and beautiful". We also paid tribute to the late Pope Francis. This connected the day's experiences with our broader educational mission. We discussed how the values we explored could be integrated into our teaching and interactions with staff, students, parents and ou community, fostering a holistic and faith-filled educational environment.

Overall, our staff spirituality day was a reminder of our shared mission and vision and the spiritual foundations that underpin our work.

RCIA

Please find attached the booklet for School-Parish Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). It is a structured program that prepares candidates to be received into the Catholic Church and thereafter live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Sydney Catholic Schools has a diverse and growing mixture of students and parents from non-Catholic religious backgrounds. There is also a significant number of students from Catholic families entering our primary and secondary schools who have yet to receive Baptism or other sacraments of initiation. Hence, the need for an adapted parish-school RCIA program to address these needs. If you would like your child to recieve the sacraments of intiation please contact the Holy Family parish office.
