On Tuesday 6 May Mount Alvernia College entered an U14, U16 and U18 team into the All Saints Q7 Rugby clash at Coomera, Gold Coast.
All three teams played four games in very wet, muddy conditions. This was a great first hit out for the rugby season.
Congratulations to our U14 girls who were awarded the Q7s premiers.
We are proud to celebrate the recipients of the Term 1 Gubio Awards – a special recognition presented to one player from each team who has made a truly positive impact.
Nominated by their coaches, these students may not always be the top scorer, but they are without a doubt the heart of their teams.
The Gubio Award acknowledges players who have:
• Shown outstanding attendance and attitude at training and games
• Consistently demonstrated respectful sportsmanship
• Supported and encouraged their teammates
• Given 100% effort to be their best
• Represented their team with pride in full uniform
• Shown noticeable improvement in their skills
Well done to each of our award recipients – your dedication, spirit, and teamwork embody what it means to play with heart. We are proud of you!
We are thrilled to congratulate Open B Volleyball, Open C Volleyball, Senior A AFL, Junior 1 Futsal, Senior B Tennis who took out CaSSSA premiership titles in Term 1, and to Open F Volleyball, Junior B Indoor Cricket, Open Futsal who were runners up! This outstanding achievement is a testament to the commitment, determination, and spirit shown by our students and coaches throughout the season. Whether on the court, field, or track, your hard work and teamwork have truly paid off.
Well done to all involved – you’ve done Mount Alvernia proud!
