Dear Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend, which provided a slightly slower start to the term. However this week, everyone is back at full speed and ready for an exciting term of learning.

This term our whole school through line is ‘Dhumba/ Ngarnga’ which means ‘Talk and Listen’.  This unit is rich in storytelling and culture as we learn more about our First Nations peoples. More information will be shared throughout the term.

 

Enrolments/ Tours

There are still opportunities for people to visit and learn about our school. Existing families are also welcome to attend. Please pass the enrolment information on to family and friends. 

Applications can now be completed online on the school website.  Current families are asked to complete the enrolment as soon as possible.

Taste of School/ Information Session 

We have our 'Taste of School' and Foundation Information session on next Tuesday 6th May 9.15 - 10.30am.

This is an opportunity for children to experience school life in a Foundation classroom. At the same time there is a Parent Information Session in the hall.

Flu Vaccination

There is still an opportunity for parents, siblings and students to get a flu vaccination, at school, tomorrow 1.30 -1.45pm. Students must be accompanied by an adult who must remain with them for 15 minutes after the vaccination. Cost is $20.  Please contact the office via email on schooladmin@stbernardscoburg.catholic.edu.au or phone as soon as possible.

 

Mother's and Special Person Celebration

Our Mother’s and Special Person’s Day celebration will be held next Friday 9th May from 8:45am - 10:30am. Mothers and Special People are invited to spend time in the classroom with students 8.45 - 9.30am, followed by morning tea in the hall (9.30 - 10.30am).

Invitations have been sent home, please reply by Monday 5th May for catering purposes. Email schooladmin@stbernardscoburg.catholic.edu.au or return the slip on the invitation.

There will be a stall on the day, more details on the BPC page.

 

PL Day - 13th May

The next PL day this term is on Tuesday 13th May.  There is no school on this day, OSHC is available and bookings are essential.

 

Assembly this Friday 

The whole school assembly is this Friday 2nd May at 3.00pm in the hall, the Foundation class will be hosting.

 

School Fees

A reminder the second instalment of school fees are now due.  

If you are experiencing difficulties please contact the Office to arrange a meeting with me to discuss a payment plan. 

 

Year 7 Enrolment in Government Secondary School

For those students enrolling in a Government Secondary School the applications are due on Friday 9th May.  Please find the attached information.
